I disagree with your statement about guns...you can kill zombies from a distance with guns...the "hand to hand, or meat cleaver" suggestion gives a chance for the zombies to get close to you and the blood of zombies is highly infectious...all it would take is one tiny drop to enter your mucous membranes to give you the virus....small guns are a much needed item.
